The SIA welcomes your donations. The SIA is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Donations are tax-deductible for U.S. federal income tax purposes. A printed receipt will be mailed or emailed to you after your donation is processed.

The SIA has designated four dedicated funds for donations; a General Fund, a Student Travel Scholarship Fund, a Vogel Prize Fund and the Industrial Heritage Preservation Grant Fund. See below for information about these funds.

The Society for Industrial Archeology offers Industrial Heritage Preservation Grants from $1000 to $3000 for the study, documentation, recordation, and/or preservation of significant historic industrial sites, structures, and objects.

Student Travel Scholarship Fund

The SIA awards travel scholarships to help full-time students and professionals with less than three years of full-time experience to attend annual conferences.

Vogel Prize Fund

Each year the SlA recognizes outstanding scholarship within the field of industrial archeology with its Robert M. Vogel Prize. The award honors the author of the best article to appear in the Society’s journal, lA, within the past three years. The prize consists of a cash award and a wooden foundry pattern and plaque engraved with the recipient’s name.
